Here is a good place to talk normal people golf. If you're a pro, VN has a golf thread. If you can hit a wedge 175 yards, you might want to check out that one. If you never know how you're going to hit a wedge, this is the one for you.

I have set off a few house and car alarms off with my drives. This would be the place for me to talk golf

Some time, take Newt to the Carousel. I think he'd freak out but like it. We used to go every Wednesday night, back in the day.

It's still there. I have several gay friends and they try to get me to go there often. Does it make me a terrible person that I always say, "no. Hell no."?

You should go sometime. Not sure what it's like now, but used to be a fun place to go to. It's an alternative bar, everyone knows your business up front.

You staying at his house? I can't come up with any good places. Cootie Browns does a great brunch on the weekends, but alas...

The Carnegie would have a nice breakfast, expensive though.

Bojangles is a decent breakfast and cheap. Downtown there are a few cafes.

I'm very open to gays and their marriages and rights and such. I'd just rather go to Barley's and talk to a pale, woolen 20-something girl about Proust or the death of indie rock by car commercial suicide. Or Robert Fripp. Who listens to King Crimson anymore? It's a shame.

Uh, there's a few of us who still do.

Court is one of my favorites. Love the old album cover, too.

It means so much to me. Same with Close to the Edge by Yes, Illinois by Sufjan Stevens, Kid A by Radiohead, Oh, Inverted World by The Shins, Sky Blue Sky by Wilco, Workingman's Dead by the damn, Marquee Moon by Television, Grace by Jeff Buckley, anything by Guided By Voices, Nick Drake, early and all Modest Mouse, Tribe Called Quest, Peter Gabriel, Andrew Jackson Jihad, John Prine, Lighnin' Hopkins, Coltrane, Monk, Miles Davis, Matthew Sweet, The Replacements, The Strokes, Def Leppard, Buffalo Springfield, Bauhaus, Drivin' and Cryin', Django Reinhardt, and Prince, etc.

Great stuff was recorded in the '60's and 70's. Many are not aware. I appreciate those who are. Best decades for music, IMO, are 50's, 60's and 70's. Some good stuff since then, but those are the signature years for great music.

got an email back from that FBI Special Agent. He wants me to call him as soon as i have time so he can answer whatever questions i have. i don't even know where to start
