Yeah because writing papers=being smart... I went to highschool with people who made 4.0 and were praised by teachers but were dumb as rocks.

Being smart doesn't really guarantee you success in school. Being a hard worker who is dedicated to school does get you success in school.

Of course, that doesn't mean that there's no time for fun.
