Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, or Tom Waits don't have the bombastic voice of a Robert Plant or the smooth soul of an Otis Redding but their distinctive style and amazing songcrafting make them legends. When I saw Buffett at Jazz Fest, I was underwhelmed with his performance. Sometimes it sounds like he's just talking the words to his own songs. I just think he phones it in most of the time because the drunk white people don't care anyways...

I've seen the Chili Peppers 5+ times and they are just awesome live. Kedis and Flea don't stop the whole show.

They kind of got upstaged in Scranton when I saw them, because The Foos opened and Dave Grohl flew around over the crowd suspended by a wire with a wireless electric guitar trying to slap us all high fives. The whole audience was laughing and singing at the same time. I still lol every time I think of it. He's such a nerd.
