I've got $1,000 in a savings, and $800 in a checking. I was going to put $1,000 in both but Dad told me to keep a hundred or two on me. The couple hundred didn't last long though sadly . I went to Wally world to get Microsoft Office 2010 for my laptop, damn thing was $160 :eek:hmy:. Shocked me because many moons ago, when we still had our old Wal-mart (which is better than the new one oddly enough) they had it for $40 dollars. Inflation is a bich!

Is this another word problem? I'm going with $0.05 again.

Should have bought it through Microsoft they usually give students discounts.

Got a checking and a savings account. $800 in checking, $1,000 in savings. Card is being mailed to me for the checking, I get student checking so no fees. Savings is "Gold" savings, I get a higher interest rate but I can only withdraw the first 10 days of each quarter or I get penalized the last 3 months interest.

Ok was wondering about the penalties I've never dealt with student loans so I was confused for a second... Thought you where getting penalties for your own money i was like wth

The penalties would be for early withdrawal in the savings account. I would only touch for emergencies though so it's not likely to happen. They're not student loans, they're grants/scholarships. Not sure if that's what you meant, I haven't had to take any loans yet, hopefully not ever:crossfingers:
