Crew, to be honest, I don't really know how to play poker. I see your style and I don't understand it. You pre flop raise so much you scare out a lot of hands, and thus, a lot of chips. Yeah, you'll lose some by people hitting on luck, but you would win more chips.

This is what you and I were discussing. In free play everybody wants to see every flop. If you're dealt something decent, you should bet those people out of seeing the flop, so the don't "suck out".

Yes, but not to the point where you scare off every hand. Bet enough to scare off people who should have no chance, but low enough that you keep a few competitive hands around.

plus you have to realize that poker is a looong game. The live tournaments i play in consist if roughly 80 players take at least 6 hours, playing every hand will get you out quick.

ive played ones online that have taken 11 hours.

I play every time I have 10 or above, or if I have suited, or pocket pair. That's all.

in reality thats too many hands, i dont play anything unless both cards are above ten.

weak kickers are what most newbs get killed with, because you have say K3 and the flop is kj2... guy bets what do you do? id assume he could have a king and more than likely has a better kicker.

i dont play every hand that has two cards 10, and up only when the betting is right to call....

this is always my early game strategy, once people realize you are more of a tight player.. you can bluff very easily.

why take a sailboat out in the ocean...why stand out in the hurricane to just get hit by a tree limb and die...
