Interesting. I have horrible allergies. Asthma, but it's not bad, only acts up when I sneeze😆

I applied for a job a couple weeks ago, but something felt off about the application. It had "optional" questions that were just weird like questions about sexual identity (straight, gay, bi, etc.) I thought that was bizarre, but maybe they are trying to satisfy some inclusion policy. No idea. I was told about the job during an interview for another job, which seemed odd and also seemed like a guy just saying hey, maybe this is a fit for you and something to look at.

Anyway, after I applied, I thought on it and then sent an email the next morning to the hiring mgr to remove me from consideration.

Yesterday afternoon and again this morning I have gotten a voicemail from them wanting to interview. Should I call and decline or should I hear them out?

If this is a large, national company, that question is not uncommon.

I would hope you have a way to skip it completely, if possible.
