Devil is in the details. If you make $1,000 a year vlogging, you wont be able to write of 25K of vacation expenses (legally). If you make $30K vlogging, you should be good...

Likely, it would be. I think you can be creative enough to zero out any income from 1099. But, you cant have a nominal amount of income with a ton of expenses and generate a huge loss...

Hmmm. I’d imagine you have to take it pretty seriously to generate that kind of income. For example, we are registering for the 4Daagse March in Netherlands. We want to vlog it for our 6 year old and I was hoping should we post that to a travel YouTube channel, we could deduct a portion of the flight or lodging. We would only get like ten views though and I think ad rev wants a little more than that.
