Purportedly, Graham Parsons hung out with the Rolling Stones in 1968 after leaving the Byrds in England because he didn’t want to play their gig in South Africa, being opposed to apartheid. It was during this time that he influenced Keith Richards to begin working on Wild Horses. Mick Jagger helped to polish up the lyrics, and the Stones included the song on Sticky Fingers.
