Random, Thoughts, X,XXIV

Behr opened that door with an ironic ill-thought troll of my earnest post that had nothing to do with him. That he’s a recovering addict is not a free pass for his behavior.

Edit: Behr posts a reference to an SNL character who is stated to be a graduate of several 12-step programs to troll me. You liked his post. I bring to his attention the irony of his troll in Random Thoughts, and you take exception. Reflect on this. From your perspective, Behr’s openly declared recovery is off limits in retort to his bad behavior, even when he uses the reference. I don’t react to Behr that often, but my select replies are muted in comparison to his bare-knuckled vitriol.
Why is your odd behavior always Behr's fault?

Oh calm down, I honestly don't troll you any more than I do souce, TFG, Joe, Froot loops or practically anyone else. Only difference is you know I don't like you and you just can't believe that. Lol.

If I was worried about what people would say about my problem with alcohol I wouldn't have said anything to begin with. Say what you want, I can handle it. But to be clear, it was 1 program and it wasn't responsible for my sobriety.
How many years have you been sober?

I'll skip the real irony because everyone has been around long enough they don't need either one of us explaining anything.

I don't care what you say to or about me, but what was my recent troll that I've boldened in orange? Because I call BS.
Ngaft but maybe he was talkin about fake 95?

Your refusal to ever, ever admit that you were wrong or at least fumbled a bit is noted.
To boil it down -
Al Franken created the character, Stuart Smalley, a member of several 12-step programs who (as part of his recovery) hosts a daily affirmation. This is OK/funny? It’s OK to use Stuart Smalley references to troll another?
Behr used a Stuart Smalley reference to troll me. That’s OK?
But, when I quote him to point out the irony of his troll, I am “making fun of his recovery from addiction,” and that’s crossing a line.

My pointing out the irony of Behr’s troll to him is not “making fun of his recovery from addiction.” It’s pointing out the irony to him.

If you believe that I’m wrong, I disagree.

That's far too abstract. I don't know anyone who looks at the Stuart Smalley character and thinks, "Oh, he's a 12-stepper!"

I liked it because I was (am) always amused at his affirmations, especially the last one. And that isn't mocking (by me), that's amusement.

Are you related to Rube Goldberg?
