Ok, what about an Elvis (PB & banana sandwich dipped in egg wash) pan fried in melted mayo instead of butter?

tl;dr
A lot of the people over in the community where I teach talk about growing up eating banana and mayo sandwiches. I had never heard of that before I started talking to people over there.
You grew up in Middle or Western TN, right? I'm just curious if that was a thing when you were a kid.
@volfanbill You ever heard of people in the neck of the woods where you was raised eating banana and mayo sammiches?
It's a thing here in Georgia

The world track & field championships are underway and have yielded yet another feel good story for Americans. When one thinks of the women’s discus, one envisions women the size of offensive lineman winding up like spinning dreidels and letting loose a heavy disk that thuds into the turf 60 meters away. America’s top competitor defies this mold. Val Allman is a living example of the ancient Greek ideal of athleticism. She is Diana made flesh, an extraordinary, beautiful human being.

Val Allman set the mark to beat with her first throw of almost 70 meters. The reigning world champion, a giant from China couldn’t match her. No one could until a journeyman US athlete who scratched her only three throws in the Olympics, Laulauga Tausaga let fly an epic toss that set a new world record. In the remaining throws, neither Allman nor Tausaga could best that mark. They finished first and second, gold and silver for the USA.
