Anyone have any experience with Hyundai brand vehicles? If so thoughts?
have an 07 Tucson....213K....runs great
AC compressor just locked up last week....waiting on the part.....that and a cam shaft sensor and a crank shaft sensor are the only issues we've ever had in terms of maintenance
Edit: just remembered I had to switch out the driver side window control switch a while back....that's all
All the OEM parts on there are Kia, and I think the Sportage and Tucson parts are interchangeable (or a lot of them are) for that year.

Got a used 19 Sonata. Your insurance in Shelby will be super expensive. Fox has a lead foot and her Mercedes insurance is cheaper than Hyundai...

Great gas mileage tho and drives fine.

Check with your insurer to see if they will write the policy...

I bought a 23 Kona for my daughter. Its windshield apparently is a rock magnet. Already replacing it. Otherwise, so far, so good.
And what's the deal with Kias getting stolen apparently because of some issue? Is this all Kia models? I didn't read much about the issues but pretty sure Hyundai involved too

The 2023 models have been corrected. I think it’s like pre2020 models that are vulnerable. Probably why Mojo is paying big on insurance for a 2019.

The 15-19 have the highest rates of theft. Many insurers are jacking up 20-22 in Shelby since the fix isn't foolproof for all models. 23 is fixed but even there, insurance for a Sonota would be a good bit higher than a similar Corolla since thiefs may not know diff bw 22 and 23 until after they break the glass...

I looked at 18 Corolla and 19 Sonata. The Corolla had 8k more miles, was a year older, and cost 6K more. That was the good thing about the theft issue, it killed the used car prices for Hyundai...
I gotta really start looking for little bit a car. She's saving money like crazy, and looking at used cars online 🤣. I dread it.
