It’s all a matter of latitude and altitude. On the Piedmont, in the foothills of the southern Appalachians, at 900’ to 1050’ asl, Fall, Winter, and Spring are brief and quixotic. Summers are long, hot, and humid, with numerous days over 90 degrees Fahrenheit. A few degrees North and 2000+’ asl will reduce the average temperature ~5 degrees. The days above 90 will be fewer by three fourths. It makes for more pleasant living.

Very happy at ~2200-ish feet.

So the vagankle appears to be a real thing with enough demand that people are manufacturing the things. Basically, a silicone model of a human foot with an orifice bored out for inserting man parts into. This has got to be a sign that humanity is nearing the end of its run.
