"schadenfreude" is one of my favorite words, because it encapsulates an emotion not easily explained otherwise. I wonder if there is a word that also encapsulates that feeling of satisfaction for a success that you somehow attained despite your best efforts to sabotage it. I'm trying to think of a word for that.

Decades ago, a little girl gave me the perfect phrase to express all of these conundrums - nanner nanner boo boo.

Lady working at Walmart pitched a fit on the woman in front of me, because she was buying her 12 year old a slingshot. I heard her tell his age, because the cashier asked. I get they can be dangerous, but I had one half that age. She was giving her a big speech about he'd blind the whole house, get in trouble at school 🤣, and literally told her she had no business buying it. The lady told her never mind, and left. The cashier then started yapping about it to me. I told her I would've bought it anyway, my kids had their own bb gun at half that age, she didn't seem thrilled. Like I said, I get the danger, but I also get some things aren't none of our business, especially going off on a mom in public like that. She's gonna Karen the wrong person one day, it's 90% redneck in there anyway.

I was about that age when my dad finally let me. All my friends who lived around us were already allowed to, and I told my dad they treated me like a baby 🤣.

Random thought for you guys. If you’re ever in the criminal court system probably a good idea to understand what the judge is saying before reacting when you have a 10 year sentence hanging over your head. And definitely not a good idea to dump the podium because your angry at what you thought he was saying

Random question,

When they say "place your right hand on the Bible" do you know which version they use?
