I’ve wanted to take the train to Truckee from the Bay Area for a long time. I nearly did last month but decided I would do it later in my stay.

Unfortunately, now is not a good time due to wildfires. The skies are ‘apoplectic’ so the views would be nowhere near as good. And Tahoe has the worst air quality in the nation right now.

I fished the Truckee late one winter. Guide couldn't believe i wanted to go. I made him fish too. Its amazing how much you can learn from watching a pro cast.
