A few years ago I was helping a friend of mine and his 14 year old son clean out an eviction apartment. We found some old 8 Trac tapes and dude asked what they were. That started a conversation eventually led to me saying I think I like Motley Crue's version of Smokin in the boys room better than Brownsville station. He said "yeah, the original is always better".
I remember watching that and at the time I was a little offended for Joe, but I saw Joe interviewed about it and he
was not offended, his friends were, so after that I appreciated how well John imitated Joe.
