I gotta get this thought out of my head. It should be in the appropriate thread in the PF, however, I've already showered and don't want to have to take another right now. So, here it is....
That fawking balloon! Unless we knew for a fact it wasn't a vector for a chemical or biological payload, should not have been shot down west of, nor in the US. If we had shot it down at 60,000 feet and it had either or both a chemical, biological payload, it could have delivered dier consequences to Canada and the US.
Now, if it was only carrying spy equipment or less, then it should have been shot down prior to entering US airspace.
