Banjo is a "forever learning" process. The fingerolls, chording etc. Is some of the hardest to learn imo

More repetition than anything. Just have to sit and do it over and over and over until you get it. Best way to buy a musical instrument is used. Lot of people buy something and give up after a few weeks.

I have 3 banjos that have been given to me, 1 is a really old antique, 1 is a bicentennial edition kay (I believe) the other is just an older model kay. The last 2 have resonators, but the bicentennial has an awesome sound

Do you play or have you tried. I have a decent one upstairs that I pick up every once in awhile. I usually just grab one of the guitars when I feel like playing anything.

I'd like to be able to play a good dobro. Good player in that video up above. I'm just not into learning anything new right now.

Just to be honest, the guy that was working with me on the dulcimer pretty well told me not to fool with it. He told me so much on it, I was intimidated out of trying

fd, if you ever want to sell one...let me know.

Maybe one day, my grandfather gave me the old antique and bicentennial, and the other one I bought at trade day up @ copper hill for 50. Put new strings on it and retightened the neck and it was literally good as new

Good time to begin if you're in to it. I know you have the dulcimer going on but you can just add banjo to the musical resume.

I'd like to. My fingers are pretty long and flexible, and I'm good with repetition. I don't know why he was so down on me trying it
