I was thinking about picking up fly fishing. I've never tried it. There isn't a lot of trout around here, but I think pan fish would still be a blast with it.

Madison may be one of the most famous for fly fishing. I've never tried, but I can watch someone do it for hours. It's a great talent. I love me some pan fish but I'm more straight forward about gettin' it in the pan.

I didn't think it'd be to hard picking it up. I'd just like to add it to the list of things I can do.

It's still going to be hard to beat floating the river with an UL reel and catching 3 and 4 pound smalls. Always bring more than will reel, if they hit to close to the boat they can tear the gears to hell.

I know you're talkin' to JT, but we have one a few hundred miles north of here that I hear is good fishing. Called the Madison River.

Yeah, north of the dams is beautiful fishing and scenery. About 50 minutes from here, my stretch is about 85 min, to the macedonia brook juncture
