Never thought they would. Things just get tossed sometimes without anyone knowing the value or thinking it's trash. Many years ago, my brother and I helped my ex-wife move. After we got her in, we took all the black trash bags we'd been filling to the dump and disposed of them. Later, she said that she couldn't find her jewelry. I asked her what it was in. Of course, she had put it all in a black trash bag. 'Bout $35,000. Never to be seen again. It was insured and replaced, but..........damn.

Sounds like y'all ended on good terms, since u helped her move and all. That's alot of money down the drain!!

I talked to my exgf last night, I think it's a new mule kicking in my stall.... I'm gonna persuade her to come back to the greenest state of the of the free. Says so the ballad of davey Crockett lol

Contacts would never work for me. Never tried them but can't stand anything close to my old eyeballs.

I was the same way, got used to them eventually. I really need to spring for Lasik. Pretty much only costs what 2 years of glasses and contacts cost.

My little sister wants LASIK. Bless her heart, she's as blind as a shot in the dark

I think Lasik is a good way to go if you can. I haven't kept up with the cost but it should be reasonable by now. They were doing them in SoCal for $500 an eye 10 years ago. It wouldn't help me now but I would do it if it would. Everyone that I know that's had it done has been really happy with the results.

i should get lasik but i have this ridiculous fear it'll make me blind

Well, at least it would only be one eye since they do them one at a time. Or, that's the way they used to do it. Do one...make sure it's OK then do the other. On the other hand, one eye out gives you an extra exemption on your tax form.

She have to wear the geeky coke bottle glasses?

Yeah, when her contacts are out, she has to wear her glasses. Po thang, her glasses ate so thick it looks like ice cubes over her eyes.

Po thang, her glasses so thick she can see the winning power ball number for wendsday.

Lol I love her but damn she can't see

Had a friend that had those thick glasses since she was a kid. Had Lasik at age 30. She still had to wear glasses but they were the normal ones. And, she could wear contacts for the first time in her life. She was thrilled.

Kat, are you near a Costco. Friend of mine got his eye exam and new glasses from one here. Great exam and really nice glasses for about half what everyone else charges. I didn't even know Costco did that until he had it done.
