I am surprised no one has posted this about the self proclaimed savior. Who needs fans if you have to have a liar and dirt bag like him. Why post this instead of just resigning?

As a 72 year old member of God's great, green, earth, I have lived a most bountiful, blessed life, a life filled with interesting jobs, trips, and most of all, friends.
Some 15+ years ago I was told about this site and finally, after much persuasion from my more advanced tech friends bought a web tv and followed this site for several months, not daring to post. Eventually, I got up enough nerve to so post, falsely, stupidly, thinking I could post anonymously. How stupid and ignorant. Logan Young, a great, close, personal friend for some 10 years, ended, I thought, our friendship one evening at Folks Folly. The story is detailed in several chapters of Richard Ernsberger's best selling book, Bragging Rights, a book he got the idea from from reading Gridscape, and gave it credit in his book! I begain to post Logan's secrets to recruiting-dealing in cash, laundering money at the casinoes- to such an extent that his attorneys threatened this site' s owner, Chuck McCollum and others. Chuck stuck by me, something I always appreciated, thus posting primarily on this site and this site only. Loyalty is a two way street.
Through the years I have posted rumors, other info, that the main street couldn't, wouldn't print. I didn't have to have two independent sources. If I trusted an individual, convinced that he should know what's he talking about, I posted it, creating, developing a National Inquirer style, reputation. I always had a source but often would credit a parent of a ball player, when in reality, the info, rumor, scandal, came from the ball player himself. This was a message board and I wanted to do my part to keep it interesting, read.
Naturally, through the years I have been wrong, facts, situations, changed, or I was given false info from the beginning.
A college message board is a vast collection of different souls, but the basic ingredient is a loyalty to that, a, school, in our case The University of Tennessee. Through many years, trips to Knoxville, entertainment at my house parties, I have met many, many, great individuals. I shall always appreciate, value, those meetings. A message board is primarily composed of individuals who want positive news, info. My life and experiences prevent me from absorbing the negative and keeping it quiet. I want the good and the bad and assumed, that most folks want that, too. That is not the real world. I can't change- a leopard doesn't change its spots.
When Chuck sold this site and Vol 12 ceased to be a moderator, I started to cease posting then. This site had been my primary UT message board because of the rules regarding this site, no cursing, no attacking the poster, etc. My have things, rules, enforcement, changed!
I leave this board with a great deal of regret, but always remembering the vast majority of members, lurkers, posters, are all well meaning, deeply dedicated, loyal UT fans. I leave posting with no animosty, ill will, toward any posters. Many on this board want posters who give only the positive, goody goody, type info. I am just not that type but I can certainly understand and appreciate the ill will directed toward me of many on this board I have offended by my posts. I assure each and every one of you I never meant to offend anyone. I just posted the good with the bad. And by so doing, I certainly attracted attention to myself, which was not the prime motivation. If you post anything of substance, read by thousands, you are attracting attention to yourself because the name Tennstud originated the post. I sincerely appreciate the multitudes of you who have been so loyal and so supportive through the years. All things must come to an end. My time has come and gone. My 15 minutes of fame from the Logan Young trials and tribulations lasted years longer than it should have.
While I will no longer post messages, link, I will post our weekly Memphis area UT gatherings and my weekly Saturday football functions, if the owner, moderator allows.
I leave with no regrets, no sorrow, just a realization that I'm not capable of being an all positive, everthing is great, message poster. You may be surprised to know that I probably haven't posted 1/4 to 1/3 of the negative things I've heard or ever posted anything a party asked me not to post.
Again, I thank each and everyone of you for all the support, encouragement, I have received these many years. I will not be posting any more than I have ever posted on General Quarters, just infrequently as ever. I know many of you will be saying kind, nice things, and I sincerely appreciate your thoughts and expressions, but while I will read them, I will not respond. And for those of you who wished I would never post, I again apologize for any harm or verbal hurt I have done to you or by extension to the U of Tennessee.
It's been a great, long, ride. I have enjoyed each and every day and just wish nothing but the best for this site and for The University of Tennessee.
Thank you Chuck, Gridscape, and all the rest. This is a great country, a great state, and a great world. Thank you Lord for letting me benefit, enjoy, so much from each and everyone of you! Again to those of you I have offended, I sincerely apologize. This can't, won't happen again, I assure you. Be positive!!
I have been asked numerous times my greatest regret on Gridscape; there's so many that it's most difficult to enumerate one about all but if I had to choose, I would say after the UT-UCLA game in 2008, Fulmer's last year. We lost to UCLA in a game we should have, could have won. My fandom exceeded any pretense of good judgment and I made a post blaming the loss on Jon Crompton but primarly on Aaron Foster. I should NOT have made that post. I proved my bass, gross, fandom. Mrs. Foster rightly jumped on me. A case can be made that Arian Foster through his loss of numerous games by fumbling caused Fulmer's demise more than any one individual or any collection of things, but that is just an ignorant, stupid, fan posting his opinion which he should have kept to himself. All things work out for the best; it was time for Phillip to go. Arian just helped him along!
A great 15 years! Posters, good and bad, don't die, they just fade away! This leopard, ***, bas---d, can't change his spots! I have never posted a good by before, this is a serious, sincere, good by to all of you who have been so kind and understanding of my shortcomings through the years. The most egregious rule violaion, which the new owners obviously don't care or enforce, attacking the poster, not his views, in my most my humble opinion-not that it matters anymore-is a glaring weakness of the new regime. Being free at last, free at last, I can go on sports shows across the south, which I have been turing down because of my strong negative feelings about the UT program, by those who have invited me to appear and now express my true feelings, beliefs, about the U of Tennessee football program under the present athletic director leadership without worrying about inflaming, making mad, true UT friends on Gridscape. Unfortunately, I have strong, negative, feelings! I think we are in for a horrible, terrible, 2-3 year period and I see NO, no, hope in our present coach delievering us from this debacle. He's just not that devoted, understanding, of the importance of recruiting at UT. Heck, he won't even recruit, try to keep, players on the team, which is good in theory, but, really, we need to win games, not the UN award for class or intergrity, which he preaches. He has his values down pat, correct, I'm the one who's screwed up; I want to win; class and integrity should be the most important elements in college football, but please!
This past week we had the Big Orange Caravan in Memphis. I usually devote an inordinate amount of time to a post but this was so sureal, unreal, unbelievable, that I didn't want to make the UT devotees mad. Las t year we had 688; this year we had 488. The coach didn't come out and say one thing, not one thing, about the importance of Memphis, Dan Williams, Chris Walker, Greg KIngall from Memphis- not one, one, mention of their name. UNBELIEVABVLE! And he had sat there and listened, watched, the master, Bruce Pearl, introduce and pay homage to the parents of Prince. Un godly, believable. Not one thank you, appreciaton, notice, of Memphis players Greg KIng, Chris Walker, and the 1st round draftee Dan Williams, all from Memphis! And some of you question why I question this guy's leadership!! Unbelievable! With my negatism, I know you're glad I'm history, gone. I understand! A UT board is mean to be positive, not negative things I just posted. I'm out of place, wrong, so that's why I'm history. Thank each one of your for your under standing! This is, indeed, too long a piece to say good by but when it's your last post, you want to get a lot of things off your mind. In conclusion, I'm proudest, proudest(probably incorrect usage) of for 15 years not one time, never, attacking a fellow poster on this site-oh, the temtation was always there-but not only was that one of Chuck's rules, but that was one of the most important lessons I observed serving in the US Senate for 4 years (1952-1956) as a page to Sen. Estes Kefauver and Sen. Gore Sr. in my youth, civility, turning the cheek! And I won't now.
