Here's my random post of the day:

"If I ever opened a trampoline store, I don't think I'd call it Tramp-Land, because you might think it was a store for tramps, which is not the impression we are trying to convey with our store. On the other hand, we would not prohibit tramps from browsing, or testing the trampolines, unless a tramp's gyrations seemed to be getting out of control."

"To me, it's a good idea to always carry two sacks of something when you walk around. That way, if anybody says, "Hey, can you give me a hand?", you can say, "Sorry, got these sacks."

I walked into Target, but I missed. I think the entrance to Target should have people splattered all around. And, when I finally get in, the guy says, "Can I help you?" naw, "Just practicing."

Haha yes Sly!!!

Tex I'd love to take credit but its a Jack Handey quote like this one:

"If you're a cowboy and you're dragging a guy behind your horse, I bet it would really make you mad if you looked back and the guy was reading a magazine"

Did you know that scientists have identified up to 19 genes that may be the key to living to be 100 or older. Only 1 in 7 million live to be over 110 and something like 1 in 150,000 live to be 100.

They're working towards locating the gene that causes physical aging and cell deterioration. Not good to live to 110+ if your body failed in the process.

Jack Handy rocks!

You saw that too huh? They interviewed a 100 year old woman who said the key to living a long time was beer, cigarettes and bingo! Haha

Actually that would be a breakthrough if there was an "aging" gene. Usually people pass on because of the bodies inability to produce the necessary chemicals, electrolytes, etc through inefficient translation, deteriorated proteins, etc. Yeah, I just went nerd on you.

Think about all the special cosmetics and cosmetic surgeries. And, yeah, quite a few items from big pharm and other health care services. That is a huge chunk of money.

And I won't have as much business in the healthcare field! :eek:hmy:

Sure you will. All the snotty nosed kids will still need penicillin and amoxycillin. And ill need a zpack for my sinus infections! Us sickly people will keep you in business!

I think it will be the opposite! Even though they may live longer, old people will still get sick and have some kind of systemic failure. So you will actually be getting busier! I'm in the healthcare bizz too!

I'm almost in the healthcare biz. I just finished my undergrad Biology degree and applied to an accelerated BSN program, with an interview this month.

I hope they never figure out how to clone humans because you know there's nothing Lady Gaga would love more than another her.
