....it's a ghost town in here.....

It was me and 3 of my friends staying in a suite. My mom called at like 11 or 12 to tell us to go look at some pictures we took, well earlier that day we were looking around the room, and the lock on the wall that goes on the door was rusted and wouldn't move at all. Anyway, we went to my mom's room to look at the pictures and we propped the door open with a book. When we came back, the book was inside the room, and the rusty lock that wouldn't move was on the door. We had to get the hotel staff to open the door.

That is SO cool! Gettysburg is a very cool place. I want to go back!

Gettysburg is just a creepy place. Knowing you are standing where thousands of people died is so weird. We walked the mile of pickett's charge, creepiest place on earth.

I looked at the pics on the site and they were a bit hokey. I didn't know that the basement of the Read House was used as a morgue during the civil war.

A friend of mine went on it and said it was just horrible. That the tour guides were cheezy and didn't really know that much about the history and even made a few things up.

I didn't know that either. I went to the Read House as a teen and went up to room 311 looking for the ghost that supposedly haunts that room. Didn't find anything but the cleaning lady. :birgits_giggle:
