Yes ma'am. I've fought it since I was 12. Never been hugely over weight and I do pretty good about whatching what I eat(most of the time...) but it still haunts me.
Take care of yourself jhen.
I've had high levels as well. I eat pretty healthily but they told me it was high. Not on meds or anything but it's very interesting. Must be hereditary for me as well.

I am reduced to 1% and skim milk. I've battled cholesterol since I was 12. When Nat was on whole milk I would sneak me a glass every now and then. Chance will be starting on whole milk here soon.:whistling:
I talked to a one of the girl's husband at the Christmas party the other night. He said he hadn't had coke/coffee(or anything with caffiene) in 7 yrs.
It's a good idea and a bad idea to have it checked. If a doc checks it, I'll bet it's high and he'll HAVE to prescribe a med for you. If a clinic, mobile station, etc. with no direct ties to a Pharm salesman, checks it, I'd guess the results would be more honest. Docs have been scribe happy the past ten years or so.I've never had my cholesterol checked. I avoid doctors as much as possible.
I've only had coffee once in my life...never again! I don't drink sodas anymore either, only time I do is if I get a rum & coke.
Figure I eat pretty healthy and work out a lot so chances are low. I know sometimes its hereditary but oh well I'll avoid it as long as I can.
Same here except sub cheap bourbon for rum. Drink the good stuff straight.
I've got to have my coffee. Coke I take or leave it. If it's in the house I drink it but if it's not I don't miss it. I order water 95% of the time when we eat out. Nothing wrong with a good jack & coke or rum & coke. I had 3 jack & cokes the other night at the Christmas party. He was fixing them a little stiff. Probably 60/40 jack to coke.
