I have a friend who is an optician. Told me the other day he sees people every day who need glasses after only 7 years. Others complain about shadows and halos. Made me think I'll just stay with contacts.

I have horrible auroras around street lights and head lights.

I have seen halos around lights from day 1. They warned me about it before hand though. It was a small price to pay to give up my glasses. It did make it difficult to play the outfield at night when I was playing alot of Softball.

Everyone I know around here loves it. My aunt is going to a consultation next month and I recommended her to him because all of my coworkers recommended him. I can't wait to get it.

Whats wrong with yours?

Nothing that I know of. My vision does tend to not be as good when I have strained my eyes a good bit or if I'm really tired. I just do my best to not sit in front of this computer for too long. After about 20 min or so I get up and take a walk or jsut close my eyes for a few minutes. I do see halos around lights at night.

I did have and abrasion on my eye that has jsut started feeling better. The dr couldn't tell if it was something wrong with the flap where I had the surgery or if I had gotten something in my eye adn it done it. I went back to the dr yesterday adn he said he could still see it but it looked much better than it did last Saturday. I'm guessing I ahd gotten some sand in it or something because we were down at the lake playing on the beach the day before it started bothering me.

My friend told they are developing a contact that you can leave in for 3 months. That would be nice.

I don't think I would enjoy that. I like the feeling of taking mine off at the end of the day!

Geez I didn't know about those side effects...ill stick with contacts too.

It was well worth it to me. I would still choose to have it done if I had to do it all over again. I would just do a little more research and not jump into it as quickly as I did. I started off with a minor perscription when I was in middle school. It had progressively gotten worse. I wrestled in high school and I almost felt like I was wrestling blind. It was the first thing on my to do list once I got out of high school.

If I fall asleep with mine in then I never feel like I got a good night sleep. Almost like I can't hit REM sleep. If that could be fixed I'd leave them in all the time.

I got glasses in 2nd grade...they were horrid frames. But when I put them on I said "oh wow! Everything is so clear!" I got contacts in 4th grade...been wearing them ever since.

I've had glasses since 3rd grade...contacts since 8th..I'm ready for lasik. Even if I have to go 10 years and wear glasses again, it's well worth it to me just to wake up to see when I open my eyes.

This guy just walked in to the coffee shop with a blond porn stache, grey pocket t, cut off jorts and blue canvas loafers. He is walking around like he is the coolest.

That's exactly how I felt. I am sure I will eventually ahve to go back to wearing glasses but's been well worth it so far.
