You know why the younger crowd don't have a clue because in this day in time parents aren't parenting. Parents are letting a cruel society raise there kids thats why the USA is so effed up right now....

Exactly, if I don't get in to politics I think I would want to be a public speaker. Kinda like MLK, I know I couldn't be anywhere near as good as him, but I just want to try to make people wake up before this country falls apart.

You guys better stop the "political talk", Sly will be up in your azz in a minute.

Naw, C-Dub's doing it right. I actually pretty much dislike all politicians anymore. Once, I figured out the game they all play. Just some I dislike a little more than others, I guess.:)

You make an excellent point. The parents in our country are letting their children down by not teaching them respect for others. I have a funny story, maybe not funny I don't know, when I was in junior high school. Our school had just been desegretated and I had gotten some good friends on our football team. Before I go on I will say how I think it's funny how people make fun of people that say they have black friends. Anyway, during the summer me and a bunch of my "white" friends would go to the park to play box hockey, tetherball and just generally be kids having fun. One particularly hot summer day a black friend of mine from the school's football team, Louis Crenshaw (I even remember his name after more than forty years) showed up and he had an orange crush soft drink with him. I was hot as a jalapeno pepper and I said "hey Louis, how about a hit off your drink". He extended his bottle and I took a drink from it and said thanks. I did notice the incredulous look on his face as he offered me a drink and it wasn't until later that I thought damn, maybe he was freaked out that a white guy would ask for a drink from a black guys orange crush. Of course I immediately dismissed that because we were friends and football teammates.

I agree, general respect for others is one of the biggest problems we have in this country, and the whole world. Tupac said it best, "learn to see me as your brother instead of 2 distant strangers." We would all be better off if we did this.

You know when it comes to racism, people say: " I don't care if they're black, white, purple or green"... Ooh hold on now: Purple or Green? You gotta draw the line somewhere! To hell with purple people! - Unless they're suffocating - then help'em.

What's to become of us Purple People?

I agree. Why throw in the purple or green crap, it just defeats your argument and makes you look like a simpleton.

It was here. Then, I got kicked out. Weird. I could browse anywhere with no problems, but VN was hung up for me.

Because I thought it was funny and if telling "purple and green people" jokes makes me a simpleton, then that's what I am. :dunno:
