It could just be that we've never been relevant enough for it to matter

I was listening to a local sports show and seems like the SLC team has been the victim recently of some bad calls. They were suggesting that maybe the refs are paid enough to draw good officials. I don't know. I was in to soccer and ice hockey a long time ago. No longer, though. Just passing interest. And, people on the radio aren't always the best source. ESPN guy on the radio last night was giving updates of other games during the SLC baseball game. He was very excited about Jeter hitting his 3000th home run.

Radio experts are rarely experts on everything they talk about. I don't know much about soccer, so I can't say whether refereeing is getting worse. I think the bad moments just stand out. When a game is reffed well and fairly, it is expected and not really appreciated.

I do depending on what tournament it is and who's on the leader board. Watched it a lot more when I first started playing.

I've kind of become of fan of Rory and Phil's. Rory was supposed to play golf for my school. Last tournament I really followed was when Louis Ousthaizen, I know spelling is off, won it overseas.
