I'm trying to get rid of the baseball swing I have.

I found a You Tube the other week of a guy hitting 300 yards with a baseball grip and swing. Biggest problem with a baseball grip, I think, is the tendency to grip it too tightly. Otherwise, it might not be a problem.

I think everyone wold like to hit the ball 300 on a drive. I've played with some who came close. They were lost from that point to the green. Three solid iron shots will put you on the green on most Par 4's and a few Par 5's.

I think if i was an 18 handicap I'd be a happy man. Bogey on every hole is good, to me. I think the VN handicap index is +8-10 of what you actually are.

My uncle didn't play until he was near 40, baseball grips it. He makes do pretty well.

Yes. If you can't all the strokes and penalties, I would say the majority (probably 80%) of golfers on he courses on the weekend would shoot 95-105.

I played today and will take a break tomorrow and head to the range. I might just hit a dozen with the split grip (baseball grip).

My problem is growing up i learned from my 5'7
grandfather with his pot belly. I don't get the club over at the top, but it's what I do, i suppose. I hit well enough to enjoy my round.

My swing is probably more Arnold Palmerish than anything. Looks ugly. I wish I could hit like a girl. Michelle Wie.

Sometimes when I hit my irons, it looks like a line drive back up the middle. Wish I could have done that more often in baseball.

What clubs are you hitting? With the clubs I use, the ball has nowhere to go but up. Also, how are you striking the ball? Are you scooping it or hitting down on it?

To be honest, I don't know. I probably am not hitting down on it, because the ball isn't doing what it should do usually.

Sounds like you might be catching the ball flush with the toe.(blading) Whoever suggested moving the ball back in your stance, is correct.
