It's a Gibson ES 335. Nice piece. I had one some years ago. Didn't know exactly what it was until I took it in to trade. Found out it was a 1959 model.

What's the difference between that model and the les Paul?

A ton. This is an ES 335 like the one I had. Good for blues and jazz.

Les Paul is the hot rod model. You can do a lot of things with it, too. But, used a lot for grundgy rock and roll. This is similair to one I had.
