Central CT imo has one of the most neutral accents in the country. Amazing with very strong accents if you go 60 miles in any direction.First show since Northern Exposure that I'll purchase DVD box set. I had always wondered what the impetus of the Southern accent was. Was absolutely floored to hear it started after the Civil War.
I wish they would go into more detail about Upstate NY vs. downstate, though. Even CT vs. Long Islang given the proximity.
