We usually have one "meal" a day, it's only one thing at a time, either some fried chicken or a pizza, stuff like that. We never have two or three course meals or anything. He usually only drinks one or two pops a day, he mostly drinks water. I drink more soda pop then he does.

The wrath to follow this post was brought on yourself.

Doesn't matter if you eat only one meal a day if you're eating junk and drinking cokes. You should try to cut out cokes and drink water!

You'll notice a huge difference by cutting out little things like cokes for water.

Just to give you some perspective... My wife and I only have Fried Chicken or Pizza as a reward and only a couple times a month. Grilled or baked lean pork or chicken and a green vegetable. Eat a few smaller meals throughout the day so your body doesn't think it's being deprived and store up every ounce of fat you take in. I wish you the best, but please do some research on healthy eating habits and exercise.

I understand you're in a tough situation. Actually eating one meal/day is part of the problem. Your body thinks you are going through a famine and that cause it to retain fat. If you can only afford one meal that makes it tough. Instead of fried chicken or pizza, grilled chicken or pork chop with veggies would be a better option.

The amount of exercise to plays a role. You don't have to join a gym. Going for a 30 minute walk helps immensely.

Some people are genetically inclined to be bigger than others but our choices play a huge role.

My mom is a nutritionist for the VA hospital and it is amazing what people eat or the excuses they make. I will never forget the story she told me about one. My mom told the guy he needs to quit eating out so much. His response was, I don't eat out, I order and get it to go..I eat at home all the time...

I used to think I didn't have that much sugar till I looked at my coffee, juice and smoothie intake. Restricting those made a huge difference.

I don't know why I take sugar in my coffee. I usually drink about a pot from 7am-noon, and I put 1/2 a teaspoon in the first cup, that's it. The residual sugar is enough to sweeten the rest to my taste.

I used to drink diet sodas, but now I just drink water..except for weekends of course. :) But the one thing I haven't cut out on is my sweets. I figured fast food cut out was enough. It's done wonders. It's definitely a lifestyle choice, never easy, but it has to be done.
