Nope never really done it. We've only trapped some coons to train a dog.

Probably doesn't get cold enough to trap prime fur. I used to trap a ****load of muskrats, mink, beaver, and tried poorly to get fox and coyotes, it's a hard work hobby.

You should get some conibears and check it out though, if you get 20 traps and have lots of swamp around, you can make $1500/2k a winter, seeing as you're a budding outdoorsman

I may look into it. It gets damn cold here in the winter. We could shoot the hell out of coyotes if we wanted to put the time into it.

It's all about having thick coats, you can probably get prime from early december to the end of January. Not as much money per piece as we get up here, but still it's something.

Yeah and coons are bountiful around here. How much is tgere fur typically worth if you skin it and sell it.

On average around $18. That's winter coats, mind you, and one hole (use a .22 short hollow)

Yeah and wed have to make sure the dogs dont chew it much. Can you sell deer hides? I mean i kill one every year and have always been curious.

Well if you go out and shoot em anyway.

Nighttime predator calling is a good time, we call in a bobcat now and then, alway let em go, since where we hunt is near a buddies chicken coops, they kill the rats.

Most people trap instead of hunting for furs, my grandpa use to make about 5 grand a winter doing it. Coons were bringing about 30 a pelt then though.

My friend got a pic on his trail camera of a bobcat that i swear is is big as a cougar. If I can ill try to upload the pic of it soon.

We've had a cougar deal here now. Several videos, one dead on the road, DEP insists they're all released pets, from all over the state.

I call BS, they're here.

I just caught myself working the gas and brake pedal that are hooked up to my computer's racing wheel. Not sure how long I've been doing it.

Yeah supposedly the other year there was one walking around a couple farms. It never got shot though so idk

I've heard they are hear as well. My grandpa talked about them trying to get into the smoke house during his childhood.
