I would have watched it for free...and by watched it I mean I'd lock it outside on my porch with some food and water.

animals being outside is cruel?

Tied up... YES

I hate seeing all this white trash around South Knoxville with their dogs tied to a tree or to their front porch, and you can tell that dog hasn't moved from that spot since they got it.

If you don't want to interact with the dog, WHY THE **** DID YOU GET IT?

In my old neighborhood, there was a house on our walk route that had a fallen tree in the yard that the homeowners were too lazy to cut up and move. They had one dog tied to each end of the tree, another dog tied to a tree that was still standing, another dog tied to the house, and another dog tied up to a stake in the back yard. I never saw them interact with any of the dogs in any way.

Mine stay out in the yard, too, but they come in when I leave the house, simply because they're both flight risks.

Well, that's not really true. They're usually inside with me, but they do sometimes stay out the majority of the day if it's nice outside and I don't feel like dealing with them, lol.

The last sentence of my previous post wasn't directed at you, smitty. I was just venting.
