I'm not a basketball guru but wasn't wilt just a freak of nature at the time with the wingspan of a condor? I may be dead wrong but I think of him like I do Shaq in that he just had physical tools others didn't.

I think so. Im no basketball guru either. I like shaq because he was able to impose his size and strength upon his opponents but was also talented.

I love Wheeler's-Dealers. Although there is no way they turn a profit in the real world.

Wheeler Dealers is great. I would tend to think the same, if I didn't watch my cousin do it with Jeeps and scooters. If you source your parts cheap (craigslist) and don't go overboard, you can make money flipping cheap cars.

You're not gonna support a shop doing it, though.

Yeah it's not the parts where they lose it. It's Ed the mechanic. His labor should cost about 40-60 an hour, and he puts in between 40-100+ hours a build. Ed's getting shafted.

Exactly what I meant by you won't support a shop. You won't recoup labor costs. As a hobby, it's workable for extra income.

You can also make some coin parting cars too but you have to not want a life between your regular job, pulling the parts, and listing them.

I just read about wilt the stilt and dude was a freak in every way. Has a wider wing span than Yao Ming and weighed between 250-300. Ahhnold worked out with him and said he could out lift body builders and actually picked Arnold up with ease.

By all accounts he was a ball hog most of his career but with his measurables alone he could probablly dominate at any era.

Problem with parting a car is inventory. You gotta have space for all that stuff. I remember when my car got totaled due to hail damage, I had a lot of knucklehead car friends telling me to part it out. I live in an apartment complex, I can't have half a damn car sitting out! I also know folks who have spent over two years parting out a car.

If you got the space though it's great and a great benefit to the hobby. Much better than selling it for scrap metal.

Wilt also shot free throws about as well as Shaq.

Wilt use to dunk free throws until they put in a new rule that you had to stay behind the line when shooting. He'd start at the top of the circle, leave the ground at the free throw line and dunk 'em.

Did not know this. Dad never mentioned that to me and from the games of his I've watched, never saw it. Crazy
