I'm proud of you, C-Dub! I'm jelli, cereal.

"This is a big ******* deal!" - Joseph Biden

Thanks man. I'm pretty excited.

They were extremely impressed. I was too. They use the Socratic method of teaching. It's basically a debate in the classroom. They base their curriculum off of Oxford. You can actually go to Oxford with normal tuition for a semester because of the relationship they have with them.

Congrats

What school is this?

Also I hate the socratic method. You will learn a lot through it though.

The King's College. It's a small school, but they hand pick who they want to go there. You definitely have to be ready for a lot of hard work. They make everybody go through an entrance interview.

Best of luck! I went to a reasonably small undergrad (5000) and it had some downsides, it looks like Kings is only 500. I think the fact that it is in NYC will make it a fun and interesting college experience since the campus is the city.

The professors teach you about something and take you to see it the next day a lot. I'll be looking for an internship as soon as I get there.

I assume you know all of this about the school. I mention it because a local college in our area shut down, reopened and then shut down for good about 10 years ago. I know it jacked some of the interim students up. Looks like Kings is still looking for a permanent president.

King's ran into financial difficulties in the early 1990s and closed in 1994. In 1998, J. Stanley Oakes, in coordination with Dr. Bill Bright and Campus Crusade for Christ International, led the effort to re-capitalize the school. Radandt continued as President. In 1999, The King’s College acquired Northeastern Bible College, of Essex Falls, New Jersey. That year, the revived King's leased 34,000 square feet on two floors of the Empire State Building in Manhattan.

On January 1, 2003, the Board of Trustees of The King’s College selected J. Stanley Oakes, a graduate in Classical Greek from the University of Minnesota and in Political Theory from the University of Dallas, to be the College’s fourth president.

In 2007, Andrew Mills became the Interim President, and after a nationwide search, Dinesh D’Souza was named President of The King’s College in August 2010. D’Souza was a Dartmouth graduate, a former White House policy analyst, a fellow at the Hoover Institute at Stanford, and a widely-known writer on politics and religion.

In 2012, the College relocated to 56 Broadway in the Financial District of Lower Manhattan. With the resignation of Dinesh D’Souza later that year, Andrew Mills again served as Interim President. On October 18, 2012, the Board of Trustees of The King's College took steps to appoint a Search Committee for a new president. Mr. John Spier, a 1972 alumnus and a trustee of the College since 2007, was appointed Chairman of the committee. He joins eleven other members — representing every constituency of the College — in thoughtfully considering and reviewing candidates.

Buzz kill.

Well, just when you think things are ok they are not. My stepdad let me borrow his truck till we find a vehicle to replace the the one that was totaled and, on the way home from work today the damn radiator cracked. Wtf does anybody do to get a break?

DD, I asked about that. They have the lease for the building for the next 10 years and they're adding floors. They're financially stable. Just trying to grow at a steady pace.

It's all in motion, no stoppin' now, I've gotten nothing to lose, and only one way up...

Radiator is easy and not too expensive if done yourself. Wish I was closer I'd help you out.

That's great man. I just hate to see people have stuff to suprise them. Best of luck.

Wicker in all seriousness whatever you do don't pour that goop stuff into the radiator it can do worse damage.
