Random recruiting forum chatter (split)

In a thread like this.

Have you read the sticky on this page about keeping the threads on topic?

Yes I have. But as you can see in a discussion people tend to talk about things they can directly relate to. Complaining about off topic discussion on a forum is just ridiculous. I sift through all the BS like you do and you never saw me complain. I've had off topic discussions and im sure you have too. I'll give you an example:
"croom is from Georgia. He's a tall WR. His mom posts on VN. Remember fostermom. All moms should post for us VNers. Mamma croom did you talk to peters mom? Is peters staying? Peters will be a good LB for UT. *insert something funny*. That was funny."

Well that was easy. It's a thread about Jason Croom. This is for entertainment not a news source. Take it as such. Appreciate the gems when they come. Another way is to scroll quickly until you see -VQ. Or -rivals, -scout,-hubbs, etc.

It's a forum not a newspaper or magazine . Off topic discussions should happen.
While it's nearly impossible to keep a thread on one specific topic, we would like the recruiting threads to stay on topic as much as possible. There are plenty of other places on here to talk about all of the off topic stuff. Some off topic stuff indirectly related to a certain recruit is expected. However, some of these threads get completely off topic. That's not the goal in this particular forum.

this is the thread that all of the bs posts need to be put in, rather than cluttering up the threads on the recruits.

I wish that folks would stay on topic in the recruit threads and bring your personality conflicts to this thread. Few people want to sort through 10 pages of personal arguments to find relevant information.
