Our run/pass ratio was something ridiculous, I think we ran like 54 times and threw 25.

The kicker... we STILL threw for more yards than we rushed for.

NEVER wager on UT, and if you do you sure do not bet for them to cover. Over the last decade UT has the worst record against the spread at home of all SEC teams and the worst as a home underdog. We were second worst in that first category until KY beat Miss St last night.

Helton seems to be as green as JG on what play will work against a defense at any certain time. He was totally easy to defend Florida knew what was coming most of the time. He kept putting us on position to fail with lack of protection. I don't think he understands the importance of throwing on first down occasionally. Helton and the OL seem to be the huge problems holding this team back. Offense looks totally confused and OL no better than when Butch was coaching.

We had 32 1st-down plays by my count (University of Tennessee Athletics), and it's not a pretty sight to see how unproductive most of them were. While the turnovers killed us yesterday, our ineptitude and inefficiency on 1st-down plays were just about as troubling.

The split was 26 R/6 P, with the first 12 being runs. This is excluding the "no play" pass interference call on UF early in the 3rd quarter, which resulted in a 1st down. In order:

That's 32 1st-down plays for 71 yards, or 2.2 yards per play. Only 1 of those got us a new 1st down and just 7 went for 5 yards or more, while more than half (17) went for 1 yard or less.
