Foster lost 4 in 4 years while Neal lost 2 in one game. That said, the OP is ridiculous

and if you're going to start a thread on him you should learn how to spell his name

At least Neal didn't fumble on out of the back of the end zone in a 6-3 game vs Alabama. :banghead2:

Wasn't it Foster who fumbled against Penn State when we were about to go in for the winning score? Penn State picked it up and took it the distance the other way . . . . . . game over.

that was a tough one but there was still a lot of time left if UT had wanted to actually tackle their RB and get the ball back

I've always been of the opinion that no one play decides a game

I guess the bottom line is, NO fumble is good. Also, people have LONG memories when it comes to who fumbled, when, and what it cost the team.

at least Foster didn't either

You're right but I thought the same thing for years. It was hard enough going back and reading about that damn game. Sure aint ever gonna see a replay.

Still not sure how I got back from tuscaloosa.

No he is not DONE! That is absurd! Arian Foster had a 3 fumble game (if I remember correctly) at UT, it happens and a lot of times after the first one it is a mental thing that the coaches have to work him through. He is still just a SOPHOMORE. But NO he is not done.

Foster had 5 fumbles on 650 carries over a four year span. Not only didn't he have a 3 fumble game, he never had a 3 fumble season (2005-2, 2006-1, 2007-1, 2008-1).

retarded thread is retarded and useless.......look at how many chances Foster got

Arian Foster holds the school record of 650 rushing attempts but only fumbled 5 times. Thats 1 fumble every 130 rushing attempts.

Rajion Neal fumbled twice in two carries agaist Georgia but that's not his only fumbles. Neal got benched last year partly due to fumble problems. He has had ball security issues ever since he's been at Tennessee. I'm sure he will get more chances but I wouldn't be surprised to see Devrin Young move into the role they were trying to create for Rajion. Even before the recent fumbles Rajion was basically a man without a position. The coaching staff was trying to find ways to utilize his speed but since he doesn't really fit into our basic offense his touches will be limited especially until he prove's he can hold on to the football.

I completely agree. No doubt that Neal has talent but, you can't play if you fumble the ball. Two carries and two fumbles won't allow you to receive much playing time. He will get opportunities, but must greatly limit his tendency to fumble the ball.

Fumbled one time last year against Memphis.Three times this year only one of those lost. Not promblem yet he will be fine. All he has to do is make some big plays the next few games and we will be bashing the next man in line.

Two fumbles on two carries in one game gets you yanked from the game, not the team.

I meant benched for a long time - not dismissed from the team - you idiots are probably the same ones that bashed him in the game thread for the fumbles - I like the guy and want to see him do well - :devilsmoke:

OK. Yes, he does seem to have ball control issues right now.

Foster did take a lot of crap for those four. It's not a bad number for four years, but the critical timing of them was unfortunate to say the least.

Foster is remembered as a fumble - only because of the 1 in the Outback bowl

so should he have been complimented for his 2 fumbles in the UGA game?

sure IF theres a running backs coach - lets see who is it at UT ? :whistling:

I believe it's Jim Chaney

I could have sworn it was bama....I was young then though so I guess I remembered incorrectly...I know he had a really costly fumble in on game that year though.
Forgive me sir.

I believe that was USCjr. Then again he was pretty much our entire offense that night anyway so it was kinda like having a BB player drop 50 on a team in a losing effort and get lambasted for missing the final shot. Without Foster we weren't even in that game.
