Rainy and Breezy Saturday at the Swamp (or not)

Lol true..but what if we don't? We have I think 8 fumbles in 2 games I hope they got it worked out this week.

If we fumble 6 times and don't recover them and it is raining and this is after we have a 2 possession halftime lead, I will start to wonder when I hit 88mph in a silver Delorean set for 1995.

If Thomas has to come out for some reason, I'll bet ya Bullard to LT and Jackson to LG will be the first option. Wanna make a friendly wager?

which was also an option released this morning. However both are on the table if you believe actual practice reports

I didn't say Tiny wouldn't play period, I said the first option would be Bullard to LT and Jackson to LG just like the Cincy game.

Saturday: Scattered thunderstorms. Wind Gusts up to 40MPH. Highs in the low 90s and lows in the upper 60s.

Remember Bray in those Gusty winds of the Spring game and going 5 for 30?

High: 90°F
Low: 68°F
Precip: 50%
Winds: NE at 8 mph
UV index: 10 very high
Humidity: 68%

I believe conditioning and depth will factor heavily in this game. 90 and humid will cause significant cramping.

UF fans would be better off hoping for fog, instead of rain.

There is a lot of offensive pressure (speed) we haven't had in recent years, because our best players have been on the defensive side of the ball.

This is going to be our best defense, against an already sluggish UF offense.

T of P:

Long drives, good third down conversion %, positive yards even in obvious running situations with 8-9 men stacked in the box, TE's making big plays, Poole running hard, 2 good FB's, Bray's accurate passing, Rogers ability to juke and get tough yards after the catch, Hunter's ability to make people miss, Neal poised to do some damage on swing passes, and Marlin Lane waiting for his breakout game (not a matter of "if" only "when"). Just when you've got all of that covered, Zach Rogers comes open for a score. There's more weapons for UF to worry about this year other than Hunter and Rogers.

correct me if im wrong but i believe that a 50% chance of rain means that there is a 50% chance it wont rain.. JMO

wcjb.com is the local TV station (Gainesville) down here, and their only calling for a 30% to 40% chance of rain and a high of 88. That's of right now. The local station tends to be more accurate (I'm a farmer, so trust me on this one). Down here, the rain chance has to be 60% or higher for it to actually rain. It has been very dry, and it's smokey because we have a lot of fires buring in northcentral Florida. Don't be surprised if you run into smoke and haze.

I'll take this assessment over the few Gator fans' rain and wind dances.

It would be nice to get some rain, but just not on Saturday. It gets so freakin' humid after it rains down here.

Yep, keep their D on the field all day. Think the Gators get a wake up call Saturday as to how good they think their team is. Only thing we need is to take care of is the ball/turnovers.

Believe this gives Florida a significant advantage because it could restrict our passing game. Anyone else concerned or even aware of the rain possiblities?

I'm very concerned. Last time we played in rainy conditions, we fumbled 6 times.

Where are you getting this "gusts to 40 forecast"? Official forecast is winds ne at 6-11 mph that would mean gusts to a max of 15. Maybe you mean in a T-storm but if that's the case they won't be playing until it passes through anyway.

Fear mongering if you ask me.

Dan Fouts tried to make this same point during the Titans game on Sunday. I'm not saying it isn't an issue at all, but seriously, Tennessee summers...

It averaged like 100° this summer. Gainesville has far more butthole-ish weather, but it's not like our squad is traveling from SoCal.

Don't mind the breezy part, but I hope it's not RAINEY.
