Raid The Virginia Tech Allotment!

I guess Va Tech fans never think they play a good team then, since not selling traveling appears to be a Va Tech tradition. But you're welcome for us buying all your tickets. I'm sure next year that will look very good to the Emerald Bowl committee.

Last 3 bowl games...Kansas (blah), Cincy (blah) and now a 5 loss unranked team (blah)...I mean one more loss and id have to start counting on another hand...

wait I guess I will after the 31st.

Just stop. You are making the South Carolina fans look intelligent.

If you want better bowls, win more.

Dude, you are a fan of Virginia Tech/ACC football. I wouldn't be so arrogant.

It's bad enough when you're arrogant for good reason (Bama fans), but it is just laughable when Va Tech fans try to do this. There is nothing for you to be arrogant about.

Next I'm guessing some MTSU fan is going to come on here and say they're better too because they had a nine win season.

And how is Kansas in the Orange Bowl so "blah" that fans couldn't show up? Kansas probably thought the same thing about Va Tech, as they were the better team and proved it on the field.

Heck we would win more if yall would quit being skurrd and play us every now and then!

This is the only time I can think of where Tennessee would have anything to gain by playing VT.... Beating ACC teams doesn't do anything to enhance Tennessee's National perception. Just ask Georgia and S.Carolina.... They both beat the participants in the ACC CG rather handily.... Georgia is going to the Nobody Cares Bowl in Shreveport and S.Carolina is going to the Who's going to actually watch " Bowl in Birmingham.... Why would Tennessee do VT any favors by allowing that obnoxiously arrogant (and totally unworthy) fanbase to occupy seats in the greatest cathedral to College football in the South.... Known to all as Neyland Stadium..... The only time we would deign to play a bunch of castrated Turkeys is in a neutral site bowl game where we don't have to come into contact with any more of your fans than absolutely neccessary....

We like to play big name teams. We beat Va Tech and people say "what? who?" We beat Oregon, Miami, Ohio State, etc, and it gets noticed.

There is nothing to gain in playing Va Tech, since when we beat them it is because we are supposed to and Va Tech is just another mediocre ACC football team. Like Clemson and Ga Tech were when they lost to teams that we blew out. Didn't Ga Tech beat you guys too?

Besides, I think Tennessee is a little bit above playing Thursday night games, which it seems is the only way for a Va Tech game to get televised.

that's why they want to play UT. We would guarantee them a Sat game on tv

Nothing to gain when you are unranked and playing the #11 team in the nation...LMAO

It's funny you name all those top tier programs that you play, but when I look at your schedule I see Western Kentucky, UCLA, Ohio, and Memphis...Puahahahaha

you're on the internet and I'm sure google works wherever you are. Might want to use it before you post again

This statement is just retarded. Heck and yall in the same sentence, and Skurrd?...this truely explains the ignorance of VA Tech fans.

This was the first time I've heard the word "heck" since fulmers post game pressers.

Just bought 4 in section 310 in the heart of the Va Tech section!!!! We need to keep raiding their allotment.

If the demand for tickets now is an indication of the fans in the seats, I would venture to say there will be 40k UT fans and 20k Hokies, with 10k to the corporate types.

I wonder where the physical tickets are sent from. If you purchase from Va Tech's allotment, I would assume they would send them from Blacksburg. I wonder what their ticket office is thinking when they have to send a bunch of tickets to people in Tennessee.

Really? Post a link or it didn't happen... It's one thing to hit a high for 30 seconds, it's another to keep it going the whole game... 66K at Lane is consistently louder than the 100K at Neyland... All major sports publications support that statement...

ahhahhahaha. What a winner we've got here. Do you actually believe the stuff you're writing over here?

Yeah, and Boise State, Cincinnati, and TCU are all ranked even higher, yet we would gain nothing by playing them.

Va Tech fans remind me of Louisville fans a few years ago when they got in the top 10 from playing the Big East. Va Tech is the ACC version.

I think historically bad programs that start having some success always end up having the worst fans because "they haven't been there before."

Not that Va Tech has achieved anything (third or fourth best team in an awful conference is not impressive), but they think they have.

This is on top of playing in what most consider the most competitive conference
and playing the eventual National Champion the past three years, and potentially four consecutive seasons.

(2006 Florida, 2007 LSU, 2008 Florida, 2009 Alabama)

VT doesn't have any room to talk.

Sorry...a lil smack talk just builds the hype for me..It's all in good fun.

In all honesty I hope everyone has a safe trip and I hope to tailgate with some good Vols fans in the ATL and enjoy some cold beers...My brother is a Vol. See ya there.

I know this OOC schedule looks really easy to us Tennessee fans, but you have to remember this is Va Tech we are talking about. ACC has had a lot of struggles against the CUSA, the Sun Belt and 1-AA CAA conferences in recent years, so this is probably a tough schedule. Remember, they did lose to East Carolina last year, so games that look like guaranteed wins to us might not be to a program like theirs.

Back to the topic... Let's keep buying their allotment. We sold ours out over one night, no reason we can't sell theirs out soon too.
