Raid The Virginia Tech Allotment!

I come in peace... You guys have done a good job in selling your allotment and raiding ours... We have been bowling for the past 15 years and it's just cheaper sometimes to buy tickets from third party websites than it is from our own ticket office... Last year Cincy fans were laughing at us for not selling out are allotment only to see thousands and thousands of fans at the Orange Bowl... This year there are many factors that play into why Hokie fans are not buying up tickets... This will be our 3rd game in Atlanta this year... Atlanta is about an 8 hour drive for most VT fans... Making that drive 3x this year is pretty tough... We showed up in big numbers for the Alabama game, and Tennessee is no Alabama... Frankly it's a lose-lose situation for VT... If we win the game, "it was against a middle of the road SEC team". If we lose, "You were supposed to, SEC is superior to the ACC."

For those people bringing up the fact that Neyland seats 100K and Lane Stadium only seats 66K so therefore our stadium is inferior to Neyland, please provide me a link where it says that your 100K people actually make a difference in the game... Lane Stadium is considered one of the loudest stadiums in the country... I've never heard anything about Neyland to be honest with you guys...

It will be a good game... Good luck!

That was an absurd post. Neyland stadium has one of the top recorded decibel levels of any stadium in the country. Someone posted a link about it a few weeks ago, but I'm too lazy to find it. So yea, your 66K don't have anything on the 100K+ vols.

Really? Post a link or it didn't happen... It's one thing to hit a high for 30 seconds, it's another to keep it going the whole game... 66K at Lane is consistently louder than the 100K at Neyland... All major sports publications support that statement...

We don't use canned music for our entrance, but yours is real nice.

GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!!!

But we gave them their biggest scare of the year.

Lane is considered "intimidating" because the opposing teams that go there are used to playing in front of places like Wake Forest, Duke, Maryland, Boston College. In comparison to those places, Lane is huge.

I welcome all of you to Blacksburg to show you what a real college gameday experience is like... Here is a small glimpse of it...

YouTube - Virginia Tech Enter Sandman Entrance

YouTube - Hokies entrance vs. Miami

Looks more like an entrance for a WWE match than it does a football game.

And if are out of high school, you are too old to hop up in down to Metallica like that.

Does your program not have such little tradition that you really have to enter to a 90's song that has no relation to Va Tech, or the state of Virginia?

I'll take our entrance, our stadium, and our atmosphere over Va Tech's any day... without question.

As far as stadium noise goes....check this out

Death Valley tops list of scary venues for opposing teams - College Football - ESPN

And as far as all you buying up all these tickets...we prolly would too if we were playing a real good team as you are.

I guess Va Tech fans never think they play a good team then, since not selling traveling appears to be a Va Tech tradition. But you're welcome for us buying all your tickets. I'm sure next year that will look very good to the Emerald Bowl committee.
