Well I'm glad you can predict the future then. As for my fact based assertion: the Alabama game was split just like that and just my opinion, they're far more fanatical and dedicated plus they're top 10. If I'm not mistaken, you haven't had full attendance at your OWN stadium for numerous games this year.

Our smallest crowd was still larger than the 66,000 your stadium holds!

Just got some of my Gamecock friends that live in Atlanta to buy up 8 Va Tech tickets. They said they'd be there in orange & white cheering for the SEC.

All I need to do is base it off your 2nd rate history that your fan base has. | Richmond Times-Dispatch

VT can't even sell its allotment to a BCS game in Florida, much less for its crappy ACC title game.

Anyone know how many tickets is in each school's allotment? How are the remainder of tickets outside the two allotments distributed?

If we have such a poor traveling fan base, then explain why we were selected for this bowl?

We could play Temple in this bowl and it would sell out. Any team in the SEC East outside of Vandy, and a number of members of the West would easily sell out the game regardless of the opponent. That is why the Peach Bowl sells out every year.

And Va Tech's lack of traveling/tv draw is part of why they were cut from the BCS At Large, and is indicative of why the ACC has not once had an at-large bid, while the SEC continues to get an at large almost every year. Out of curiosity, does anyone know the last team the SEC did not get two bids? I do not recall.

Lowly Virginia Tech drew a record crowd to Nebraska's home stadium so please spare me. That school has 3 times the tradition Tennessee has and they decided that their record night would be against VT. And you say we don't draw attention?

Three times the tradition, wow. So they've been playing championship football for 300 years?

Don't flatter yourself too much. One of Tennessee's top crowds was against UNLV. I guess that makes them a good draw too?

Btw, Tennessee has one more national championship than Nebraska (we have six, they have five), so to say they have three times the tradition is somewhat humorous, though they certainly are another traditional power.

So the Gator Bowl would have legal rights to select FSU. Nothing more.

Also, our stadium holds over 100,000 fans. Not being ranked in the top 25 all season and having that many seats to fill is the only reason we didn't sell out all of the games. Every game sold 90,000+ tickets , which is more than 75% of college football has ever seen in their stadium.

I'm not saying tennessee doesn't draw. You don't have to defend yourself, I'm just defending VT's ability to travel. I conceded there would be more UT fans. But what makes you think that there'll be a greater proportion of UT fans than Bama fans? I mean 20K Hokie fans is ridiculously low.

3 times the tradition huh? They are 9th in all time winning percentage and UT is 10th. .703 to .693

VT is 23rd. LOL

They have to overcome the stigma of this:

Any comment you make about how your school's fans travel well should be reserved until after they prove it in the bowl.
