Lo how the (once) mighty have fallen. It is true that Vandy has won 4 of the last 6 games , but we still hold a 1 game lead in the conference since 2010 . Vandy's SEC sheet says 18-46 , but we stand at 19-45. YAhoo - TAKE THAT Commodores . This stat would have been laughable to any Vol fan in the 1990s. Teleportation would have been much easier to believe. That is Reality my fellow Vol Fans - a school that plays sports as a hobby vs one that spends as much money as any other in the country and we are no better. This defies logic . Someone explain this to me, please.

We make horrible coaching hires, Vandy has made great to serviceable hires the last couple of rounds.

It's called Fulmer complacency followed by a Kiffin FU, then a big steaming Dooley deuce followed by five years of bad eye discipline, leadership reps and life championships.

They've had their best ten year run in the last 80 years and the Vols have had their worst ever.

No we aren’t sadly and Kentucky and South Carolina are currently better as well. Sad times indeed. That’s why I don’t understand some fans obsessed with Georgia and Bama and how soon can Pruitt beat them lol I would just be happy if he can start winning against Vandy, Kentucky and Mizzou first. Those teams we should beat on a yearly basis.

UT didn't become a school 6 years ago so quit cherry picking your stats and think about the train wreck of coaches we have had. Why go out of your way to be a drama queen? Bama, UF, Notre Dame and USC have all had bad stretches in the past 20 years also. Go cry on their boards.

We have had three coaches from 2009 - 2017. With such turnovers what does anyone expect

We really Tennesseed the last 15 years of football. Even with that most teams still have a losing record against the Vols. The tide will turn one day, maybe when all the old heads get too old to "know what's best".

Nope. Its called the ridiculous firing of Fulmer. Followed by the insane hire of a proven loser (Kiffin). Next was the even bigger loser in Dooley. And then the grand hire of a MAC coach in Butch.

Put all this together and we really get just one reason, little Jimmy Haslam.

Tennessee’s historical low point has dragged the program down to the same level of success as Vanderbilt at a time when they are actually making an effort to win. It means nothing except Tennessee can and must do better. The ceiling is much higher in Knoxville because UT is the flagship state school. **** happens, especially when you repeatedly step in it.

These threads are completely necessary so we can come up with useless stats to justify that we are better than vandy....when we are not.
