Cousins 360 went dead for the 4th time (yes....4th time) so she sent it in and got a PS3 and couldn't be happier

She has had enough

Fix the damn hardware problems

4 times is ridiculous

So Freak, Larkinn & I are playing Gears & all of a sudden I freeze up....that's a first. So I restart it & nothing happens...I restart it again & the 3 little red lights pop up.

Well I have had it nearly 2 years, I guess it was over due.

About how long does it take to get the mailing box & get my 360 back?

What the hell am I gonna do now? Some of you guys know that's all I've got. Hmm....

That sucks. Usually takes 4-5 days to get the box. Then around 3 weeks to get it back. I would call during the day tomorrow. Probably around 12, and you should go straight through to an agent. Oh yeah, if you just say AGENT over and over again to the automated machine it will take you straight to a CSR.

:lolabove: I saw that.

I just got off the phone with "Willy" the Indian support guy. I hope he got my address right. He put a lot of flem into it when he read it back to me & it sounded weird. 3-5 days until I get the box & 2 to 3 *hech*weeks to get it back.

Another question.

Should I take off my skins & put the original face plate back on? Does it matter?

& I think the support guy said to keep the HD & power supply & cables. Is that right? I could hardly understand him.

Same happend to me over Christmas. Xbox support has a pretty quick turn around. I get a new replacement system in a week and a half.

If its the 3 red lights they normally replace the older systems so take off everthing including the HD but the system itself because you will likely be getting a new system.

I had my 360 all apart and needed to get off 6 allen heads and my allen wrench just turned and stripped. I bet they could have been metric heads. I was doing the rubber eraser trick . look it up.

I just got the RROD last week. Currently waiting on the box from Microsoft. Probably going to trade in for a PS3 when the new 360 comes back.

I have read a few tutorials online that show you how to fix the design flaw that 360's have. However as some have said it will void your warranty once you open it, and most of the tutorials require you to cut the ventilation holes to make that one big hole instead of 50 small holes, which would definitely ruin your warranty. They all seem to not have the overheating problem anymore though, and most say it runs quieter when you make the adjustments.

I just got my box from UPS a minute ago & got a question.

When I was on the phone last week to call it in the guy gave me a number that I'm supposed to write down & send it with the box. I could hardly understand him so I don't know if he said it's my "Service Request Number" or my "Reference Number". And am I supposed to write it on the label of the box or just on the sheet inside the box?

The guy I talked to said it was a reference number and that you write it on the outside of the box. I could hardly understand the guy I talked to also, I think he said something about taking something off of it before you ship it. Was he talking about the HDD thing that is on the top of the box?

Hmm....I didn't write anything on the outside. There was a paper inside that I wrote a number on but that's all I did.

& yeah, take the Hard Drive & everything else off. Custom faceplate, skins, chords, ect. Send only the box.

I just dropped mine off at the UPS store & I hadn't even walked in & the lady at the counter asked "You got an xbox?" She said I was the 4th one today. Funny.
