I’m not crying I’m Pruitts biggest fan. I want him to win championships and build a dynasty. I just haven’t seen the results that point to Pruitt being capable of that.

It’s not exactly an either or situation. It’s clear that Vols are not in the top tier, but they are beating the teams that they should. Check out the recruiting rankings of the top tier and compare to UT. Improvements are being made on the field and recruiting trail. UGA game wasn’t a good barometer, they have the best defense in college football. The whole Coronas and lack of spring development has really hurt this team, but I expect them to improve over the course and f the season, if they do that they will upset someone this year. I honestly think everyone forgets what a **** show Pruitt inherited from Butchy Boy, but I believe we are headed in the right direction. Until Vols are back in the top tier I will never piss and moan about beating the teams they are supposed to beat, because I remember how bad it sucks when they don’t. It doesn’t mean my expectations are lower than yours, my expectations are basically the same I just think the path to get there is a little longer than you’d like it to be.

Butch had back to back 9-4 seasons...beating teams we were supposed to....
The next 2 years we dont. 1 with butch other with CJP.

So we are talking about 2 seasons...???

I seriously don’t get it. It’s like now days some of us “can’t” think differently. We can’t get mad or anything on a message board.......it’s only for positive thoughts.

By Pruitt‘s own admission, he will ultimately be judged by his record against Georgia, Florida, and Alabama. Not by how well the team is improved. Not by how we recruit. Not by how much we beat up on Vandy, KY, Missouri, and SC. Just pointing out that he is 0 and 7 on his own measuring stick. Argue all you want. Rationalize all you want. The record is what the record is.
do I think Pruitt EVENTUALLY can change that? Yes. Does he have unlimited chances, no.

I’d have to agree.

I mean yeah, we’re starting to beat the likes of Missouri, Kentucky, SC, and that’s great.

However, if Pruitt wants to take this program to the next level, he’s going to have to start being competitive with Bama, UF, and Georgia. They’ve kicked our ass every year and without making some adjustments, we won’t beat them anytime soon.

If HB had all of spring and fall practices to adjust to the speed and complexity of sec football,then,when JG messed.up,he would have.gone.in.He will still get his chance and so will JT and BM.

Peterman had broken his hand on the previous drive but refused to tell the coaches. That horrible pass was b/c he could hardly grip the football.

Like I said before, it is not about being upset or having different opinions. Those are good things. But there is a very vocal minority of Negavols that personally attack anyone who doesn’t think JG is pure evil, don’t think we should fire Channey, or think Pruiit might be a good coach. These people take differing opinions personally.

I'm so sick of these posts. Always the one white knight orange kool-aid sunshine pumper that can't accept the fact that we suck. Please go call up UT and ask for your participation trophy.

This year is different. We don't even get any cupcake games so who even knows if we would have even won them or not.

It's all in conference games this year. So we should be judged accordingly.
