R.A. Dickey

Jair could locate his pitchers anywhere he wanted first half of last year. What I would give if we could have moved him before his meltdown

RA is a great story. He's overcome so much, including the fact he doesn't have a UCL in his right elbow. Always rooted for him when he was with the Rangers, and wish he could've seen this success there.

Which is a very faulty stat.

I'll take Gio. His peripheral stats blow Beachy away.

But who cares, it's the AS Game.

What are these peripheral stats you speak of? And please explain how they blow Beachy away. And how are these peripheral stats not faulty? I am not being a smartass, I just don't keep up with every stat.

To me pitching is about control. And it seems to me that Beachy has more control, albeit not by a wide margin.

Totally fine with him getting the nod. If La Russa picks lance lynn, let's riot.

I wonder if Strasburg would even pitch. That inning limit and all. Eh.

Agree with all of this. Strasburg gets the nod for me.

Today was his 30th career start. The numbers for the first thirty have been utter ridiculousness.

People miss so bad on Dickey's pitches haha. I mean, some pitchers just overpower and have a sequence and dominate. But people are just flailing at 78 mph butterfly-esque pitches.

And the only hit was a whiff by Wright. So he essentially tossed a no-no. Not bad for a 37 year old.

It just wouldn't really be the same if it was like "oh, my bad guys, yell about that no-no next home game."
