I don't see him forcing much. I see him hesitating, making bad reads, using poor foot work, locking onto the receiver he's throwing too, and throwing inaccurate passes. If that is due to all of the mental pressure he's under, then all Dooley needs to do is give him a Zanax and problem solved. It isn't the pressure; if he had no pressure (as is frequently enough the case), he still struggles to read the defense, read the coverage, read a blitz, and then almost always, and forever, waits to throw the ball until after the receiver is waiting for it rather than on the cut. ESPN did a nice analysis of why Gabbert for Missouri hurt OU -- it was because of the quickness of his release & throwing the ball on the cut rather than waiting for the wideout to be open. Simms is a high school QB who couldn't cut it at Louisville and was mediocre in JC -- he's the least talented QB at Tennessee since before we installed a pro-style offense.
