I was on my way home from Nashville when I heard Bruce going through the lineups today and how he'd play our 10+ guys....he kind of went over the different positions and players and then got to his son Steven Pearl....he talked for 10 seconds about him after not saying anything else about the other guys....he basically talked about how good of a player Steven has become and even went to say he's got all the intangibles....I was LMAO

Bruce....I'm sorry but you're VERY delusional when it comes to your son.....NO other SEC team save Auburn or LSU would your son play more than 10 minutes max....Bruce REALLY needs to not let family ties affect the team....starting to hurt us

I like Steven. Maybe he needs a couple fewer minutes, but he deserves significant minutes out on the court.

Steven does OK. The big issue is that we are playing tight. Unlike years past where our lack of structure led us to wild swings and lost control, we are actually too structured. Players seem to be so locked into defined roles that the free-flowing confidence is missing. I guess I wouldn't mind a few bad shots if it raised our confidence and loosened things up. It's like we're trying to play the game in our shirts and ties. I think we will get it fixed, but it starts with Bruce. We look tight because he is tight. He's lost some of that brazen, loose demeanor that made him and his teams successful. No better team to loosen up for than Memphis. Go Vols.

I didn't get to see yesterday's game, but I think you are spot on. I think Coach Pearl is affected his teams morale by his own demeanor.
