Quit “contacting” and “protesting”

The UTAD finally felt the wrath of the fan base yesterday. If you push us too far, we will bite, and bite hard.

But let’s choose our battles here. Just because it worked yesterday doesn’t mean we can keep using it to overthrow every person of power we don’t like. The bite of the fan base will lose is effectiveness.

Again, choose battles wisely.

Nonsense. Keep the pressure on these clowns who blatantly betrayed the fans, the boosters (except Haslam) and our University.

Nobody is saying we should do this every time we don't like someone. Haslam's puppets Currie and Davenport cannot be trusted to hold themselves accountable for their underhanded botched attempt to do Haslams bidding. Keep the pressure dialed way up.

Nah this is the time to put on more steam unless you can come with something less cryptic. This crap has gone on for over a decade. ENOUGH!

As a fan base we did a good thing yesterday in stopping a stupid hire. However as long as the causation of our Universities problems is allowed to continue to exist and function as it has - Do Not expect any positive results in the program

I 100% completely disagree

If we quit now what have we accomplished?
Kept 1 coach from being hired?
There’s another 1 right behind him

If we want change, REAL change we have to keep going. Otherwise we will never get anywhere athletically or academically

Fire Davenport

Fire Currie

Boycott Pilot

Boycott Casual Pint @ Northshore

Hire Blackburn

Gruden To The Hill

I agree all these things need to happen. They’re not going to happen all at once.

Right now let’s settle for pushing out Currie, endorsing Blackburn. We can go from there.

I agree with you on this. Currie goes. Now. Give Charlie and friends some time to take the Haslams to the woodshed.

Edit: on the above post. Let’s reach for the Spinal Tap special amps in the short term.

Fans complained and got what they wanted. You really think they won't complain next time they're unhappy?

If Currie is allowed to hire the next coach he will be able to survive this. All he has to do is put the PR spin on it and certain fans will go well we did this to ourselves so let’s get behind our new coach. Which in turn will split the fan base again.

Exhibit A is his statement he released this morning.

Exhibit B Davenport statement

Exhibit C already have fans calling and apologizing for Schiano.

Fans can bite with protests, but more effectively with their wallet, had fans started emptying that stadium in droves after the UGA game Botch would have been out sooner and we wouldn't be in the situation that we are currently in, every single SEC school without a HC right now is in front of us in the pecking order of getting a good coach. BC our AD decided to let the Botch parade go on for far too long. Save money??? what did we save??? hell talk of now buying out the AD's contract Geez.... the incompetence in our program goes all the way to Haslam and the other cronies that allowed Currie to try and sneak hire Schiano knowing damn well that the fans would go crazy.

We are going to settle for an up and coming OC or DC it will not be an existing HC no coach worth a damn would take this AD or this fanbase right now, especially with the national media running us down at every moment.

Anyone thinking that the fans do not matter, please take note. Enough of anything can turn the tide.

It's insane that the "leadership" at our favorite university is so out of touch.

I am all for whatever it takes to bring about actual change. Everyone should double their efforts to get Currie it asap.

Call, text, tweet, message, email, whatever it takes. Currie has zero credibility. He asked this to get to this point. His bosses better check their egos and end this before it rolls over them as well.

If I thought it would do any good, I'd say hit them where it hurts... The sponsors.

Agree...we'll go from the victim who stood up, into a bully lynch mob. We're on the right side of this, and let's stay there.

As someone who has been through this at our own school (UAB) my advice is don't let them breathe. Continue to find ways of making their lives uncomfortable. Not threatened, just uncomfortable. Use social media and back channel communications to organize. You're not fighting to get a coach, you're fighting for the soul of UT just like we fought for the soul of UAB.

You're right in that protest marches and emails every day become ineffective. But 6 months of hitting our BOT and president from all sides produced a victory
