Quinten Dormady Tennessee highlights (video)

What I'm trying to say is let's not get too excited about a young guy that hasn't played in crunch time yet. I don't think it's fair to QD to start comparing him to other great QB's in UT history or to Tom Brady (see poster above)when he's yet to really begin his career. I want him to succeed

Well if you could use some reading comprehension, the post/poster you were referencing specifically said "I am not comparing him to Tom Brady". No one said he's Tom Brady just that he kinda resembles Andy Kelly. But thanks for trying so hard to get everyone to pump the breaks on being excited about one of our guys potentially performing well. God forbid.. 🤦*♂️🤦*♂️

I think you're right. QD is going to be the starter. I just hope we're not building him up too much, only to be torn down if he doesn't play to the expectations of some of our fans

As long as our line holds up we should be pretty good on offense with the weapons we have. Gotta stay healthy though.

You're welcome. Any advice on how to improve my reading comprehension?

Dormandy has that Stephen Garcia type style but with a much stronger arm...his field vision and football IQ is very high...he seems to trust the WR's to be open when he delivers the strike...something I think Dobbs struggled with early on...and like Garcia he'll scramble and turn a broken play into a nice gain with his deceptive running.

Our TE's and WR's are about to have a big year imho...I'm just saying.

Lol what a weird player to compare someone to

Actually read the whole sentence man and take it all in, instead of seeing just "Quinten Dormady" and "Tom Brady" and disregarding the surrounding "I'm not trying to compare him to". All he was doing was saying his mechanics look like Brady, the fact is he even prefaced that by saying the above. You read what you wanted to read, not what he actually typed.

🙏 You're right about the Tom Brady comparison, but I have seen comparisons to Casey Clausen and other Tennessee greats in other threads, not necessarily this thread in particular. It's perfectly fine if someone wants to get really excited about QD, but I don't want to set the bar too high starting out. That's just my opinion and others may have a different opinion and that's ok

Dormady will be the starting quarterback, his passes are perfect ever time. The separation will be his experience in the offense.

Agree. I think his extra year learning the offense has given him a leg up and that's not a knock on JG

Bottom line? Whether this is clean up time or not.. that is the only playing time he has had the opportunity to engage in. That's not on him that Dobbs was the starter. He went in- did his job- did it WELL...and his throws were on point. Placed balls where nobody else was going to get to them, extended plays with his feet eluding pressure, and is hitting receivers in STRIDE...with the better pass protection we can expect this year he might just do great things with that pigskin in his hands.

That being said...You can't judge the kid for what he hasn't done yet. Reserve judgment until we see him play IN A GAME when that playclock starts to roll. His fundamentals and motions are great. He has the passion we expect from our QB's and he does a good job representing this university. Stop riding his nuts and give the man his chance to prove that he will lead us to success. He has a clean slate that starts against GT. When that time comes I hope all of you cracking on him have to eat your words.

Dormady will last about as long as Justin Worley. Most of his highlights come from mop-up duty against weak competition or against no rush in the O & W game. No way he can handle the pressure of a Florida or Georgia defense. Be prepared to see Guarantano take over mid-way through the season with not much more success, due to his inexperience. Next year will be our year. I'll hang up and listen.

Zero chance, Dormady has much more talent, no offense to Worley.

So you're basically saying he doesnt stand a chance because he's white, correct?

Those may be "mop up" highlights, but; they sure beat some of our past "mop up" highlights of hand off 3 times and punt or turn over. At least there are glimpses of his ability to put the ball where it needed to be.

Not that your worth responding too but your NUTS. I guess you think more than the coaches or even NFL scouts for that matter, I have already heard scouts say his arm is NFL ready now. And I am willing to bet you don't know more than them, go back to your gator board or whatever one you really reside at. Of course you can only tell for sure when things go live but you certainly do not know. I predict Dormady will have a great year! GO BIG ORANGE!!!!

Saw this posted in the recruiting forum by Ron Swanson. It's worth watching.

Hey everyone, I am the guy who made that highlight video. I just got into making them about a month ago, and I am trying to improve as much as I can. My goal is to give most of the UT players with previous experience a highlight video before we play GT. After that, I think I will be doing player highlights for the individual UT games. Colton Jumper video should be up today. Thank you for posting this Freak, the video has blown up since then. Your full games are helpful for footage as well, thanks.
