He didn’t go down like jg. Look I like how he went hard and wasn’t given anything. Jg set the tone with me by acting like he deserved the world bc he was jg. He sucked. Didn’t see much difference between the two. If I don’t see a difference I’d rather not have the kid who refused to be a good team mate early in the year.

Like I said in my first post, I don’t think our starting qb is on the team or at least one who could win games for us.

From my first post, I’ve had to defend why I don’t like jg. What could have happened is the jg butt lovers could have left me alone and just said hey that guy doesn’t like jg. Then this would not have happened.

So you don't see much difference between 61.9% vs 42.5% and 7.17 ypa and 3.8 ypa?

So basically you don't like him personally, even though you don't know him. It has nothing to do with on field play. I hope CJP doesn't judge our players on emotion.

Second the opinion that a winning starting quarterback is not on the team right now. I would love to be wrong, and would celebrate the winner's entire body of work.

Also stated I would love to get passed it by jg winning and showing me he’s hard worker. I don’t care as long as we win.

I’m guessing your referring to a stat sheet. Any how I don’t see it. I trust my eye test over that stat sheet. I watched JG be ran down by 300 lb defensive linemen routinely last year.

I would have wanted to see QD stick around until the new coach can evaluate and get some new blood into the program. This Guarantano kid is terrible. Of course, keeping Kelly would have been a huge lift to the offense as well. Not sure what he had to lose?

No worries, we just disagree on what we think we saw. That said, I think we both know who the starting qb is gonna be this year unless Shrout comes in as a world beater as a true freshman.

Imho, McBride didn’t pee down his leg vs a couple of bad defenses when he got his chance to play and that’s about it.....and that’s far from good enough at Tennessee. He’d do well to follow QD’s lead and go find himself a place where he can actually get on the field....that place ain’t Tennessee.

Yeah, I just hope jg can improve in all phases and I’m not sure without a cutcliffe that can happen. I mean are we bringing in a qb whisperer? If we are I haven’t heard of it. Pruitt is a defensive guy so I’m not sure he’s used to handling qbs. I mean the two best things his predecessor did for qbs was hire Kiffin and put tua in the game after not playing tua all year even though he was the better qb all year. So I’m guessing Pruitt didn’t learn a lot about qb handling while at bama. I just hope jg has grown up and ready to get better. I don’t care what he says either, I care if we win.

Hoping he snags Chryst as a transfer. I think with the defensive staff and recruits Pruitt is building, we need nothing more than a game manager type QB on offense in year 1.

Maybe I'm crazy, but Guarantano looks to me like a guy who can make the throws. Anything resembling average o-line play will probably mysteriously make him look like he knows what he's doing.

If you dont know who the oc/qb coach is and his record of qb development, then are you really educated enough to make such baseless statements like you have, in regards to our current quarterback situation and the chances of each getting better?

Haven’t read he’s David cutcliffe, that’s what I said. Nothing in Helton closet tells me he’s a qb guru.

How about sam darnold, or doughty (sp)from wku, every where he goes and coaches qb's they improve drastically especially in yardage and completions. Given that JG led the team with a very respectable 62% he should improve greatly from helton, the supporting evidence is there.

You think darnold improves this year? I do know football and I do know he had a better year last year.

Fewer tds and more pics this year compared to last. He did throw for more yards.

Worked wonders with Brandon Doughty and some say that Sam Darnold kid is this side of ok. :hmm:
